JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for all aspects of developing and closing daily sales. Duties require development of systematic quoting and sales order processes, as well as continuous refinement of processes, to increase the efficiency and accuracy of RFQ’s, as well as the clarity and quality of presentation to customers. In addition to daily customer contact, the Senior Account Manager interfaces with a variety of ComAv personnel including other members of the Sales team, Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, Finance, and Quality Control/Assurance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Actively promote and sell ComAv’s full range of products to designated accounts.
  • Improve overall sales performance and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
  • Use a systematic approach to reach airline customers and vendors.
  • Work with the Senior VP of Sales to develop a strategic business plan, identifying targets and measures in customer satisfaction, customer acquisition, expansion, and retention.
  • Develop targeted sales & marketing strategies to increase sales.
  • Fully learn and understand ComAv’s complete product line.
  • Respond to RFQ Proposals & Tenders for airline customers and vendors with specified accounts, as required.
  • Support sales/production efforts to create significant market share growth.
  • Utilize all aspects of account management, including cold calls, face-to-face selling skills, time and territory management, account development strategies, professional presentations, interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and negotiation.
  • Professionally represent ComAv
  • Adhere to and refine all RFQ and Sales processes.
  • Develop and execute the account sales strategy as well as develop new business within the assigned accounts to meet all sales goals for ComAv
  • Administration and prioritization of RFQs to provide complete, high quality, competitive quotes to internal and external customers.
  • Maintain records to include sales orders, quotes, and competitive price information.
  • Daily customer contact to support resolution of any customer complaints.
  • Ensure that any issue is resolved quickly or is escalated to the appropriate level.
  • Improve routine validation of pricing tools using actual historical performance data.
  • Documentation, communication and review of expected sales opportunities and forecasts with ComAv.
  • Customer support to source and fill each order through brokering or inventory assets.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education – Senior Account Manager should possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in Aviation Management or relevant field is preferred. Years of experience may be considered as equivalent to a degree.
  • Management Experience – 8 years of successful airline account management experience.
  • Sales Experience – Minimum 5 years’ experience in a professional sales role. Experienced in the complex and prolonged sales process. The Senior Account Manager must demonstrate a working knowledge of aircraft models/product lines.
  • Industry Related Experience – 5-8 years aviation/aerospace industry preferred.
  • Negotiation & Quoting Experience - Must have at least 5 years of negotiation and/or quoting experience or combination of these roles. The ability to create execution strategies accordingly. Strong negotiation, relationship building, and influencing skills.
  • Customer Service Experience– Must have 5 years’ customer service experience in senior professional role. A positive, confident, self-motivated attitude, strong business drive, and a keen interest in building long-term customer relationships. A superior ability to positively relate to and communicate with both internal and external customers.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Competencies) the individual must possess:

  • Computer Skills – Must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with experience with ERP software such as Corridor, Quantum, SAP, etc.
  • Assertiveness, perseverance, energy, and passion – results-oriented behavior required to be successful in a sales role.
  • Ability to work autonomously, but also as part of a sales team.
  • Language – Excellent written and verbal communication (English). Fluency in a second language, particularly Spanish, is a plus
  • Effective and strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations.
  • Attend required sales meetings and training, on a regular basis.

POSITION LOCATION:

  • There is no travel required for this position.
  • Work location - CAM facility Victorville, CA.
